The Central Midwest Carpenters Union (CMRCC) is more than a collective of skilled tradespeople; it’s a community of over 37,000 professionals spread across 36 locals. In Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, and parts of Tennessee; we are a dedicated affiliate of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters.
Our strength lies in unity, as we forge powerful partnerships with over 30,000 contractors, working collaboratively to connect them with the finest talent for their projects. We believe in the strength that comes from working together, fostering a sense of solidarity that goes beyond individual achievements.
We are committed to equipping our members with the skills they need to thrive, maintaining the highest standards of professionalism, and actively engaging in partnerships that drive economic growth and equity within our communities.
Together, we stand as a force for positive change, dedicated to building not just structures, but a future where strength, unity, and equity prevail. Join us in shaping a tomorrow that reflects the values we hold dear.
TRAINING
Training is the key to a successful local construction industry. Well-trained professionals are more cost-effective, deliver the best results and help bring about the safest workplaces. By getting the job done right the first time, they actually save money. And safety pays dividends in improved productivity and lower liability costs. We invest heavily in training and make it a top priority.
PROFESSIONALISM
We believe a cooperative, “can-do” attitude is just as important as skills and productivity and we bring the right attitude to work, every day. It’s why the Central Midwest Carpenters prioritizes developing the total professional: Carpenters, Floorcoverers and Millwrights who are not only technical experts in their craft, but also demonstrate effective communication and leadership qualities.
PARTNERSHIP
When we teach our members to view themselves as partners in a project’s success, everyone succeeds—our members, contractors and developers and the communities in which we all live and work. We pride ourselves on flexibility, offering special contract provisions to contractors to help them remain competitive in their local markets.
