Carpenters Local 1005 Special Called Meeting Information

Due to COVID-19, UBC President McCarron has granted dispensation to cancel all regularly scheduled meetings through May 31, 2020.  We will proceed with the special called meeting on Thursday, April 16^th at 3:30 p.m. to conduct nominations and hold elections from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. for Delegates to the General Convention.  We will alter the election procedure to meet CDC guidelines and practice social distancing.

Meeting Instructions

The special meeting will be held at the IKORCC building located at 1560 E. 70^th Court, Merrillville, Indiana, 46410.

EVERYONE MUST REMAIN IN THEIR VEHICLES IN THE EAST PARKING LOT IMMEDIATELY BEHIND THE ADMIN BUILDING.  Members making a nomination and those being nominated will be called on by a raised hand from the President to come forward. (2 members at a time) Once the nomination is complete, please proceed back to your vehicle for further directions.

Once nominations are closed and the ballot information is complete, ballots will be made for distribution.  A team of two will come to each vehicle to verify your status and to record your name on the sign-in sheet.  Once you receive your ballot, follow the directions for making your choices.  You will then be directed to proceed out of the parking lot and turn to the right towards the entrance of the Training Center.  The ballot box will be at the NW corner for deposit of your ballot.  Do not leave your vehicle.  Continue to drive South around the building and back out to Mississippi Street to exit the campus.

Winners will be contacted via phone from the election committee immediately once the results are tallied.  Results will also be distributed via HUSTLE communication the following day to the membership.

EVERYONE IS TO REMAIN IN THEIR VEHICLES UNLESS RECOGNIZED BY THE PRESIDENT FOR THE PURPOSE OF NOMINATIONS.  We will be following strict CDC guidelines and social distancing to complete this election.
